Our Story

The story of a great idea. And then a slightly better one.

Let's be honest. Every founder says they started their company "to make the world a better place." We were no different. My wife and I wanted to build something honest. Something that actually helped.

And then we found them. Or maybe they found us.

Mushrooms.

Not the button ones swimming in cheap gravy. We’re talking about functional mushrooms. Oyster, Lion's Mane, Shiitake, Cordyceps. We went down a rabbit hole and what we found was insane. These things were nutritional superheroes. Anti-cancer. Anti-diabetic. Immunity-boosting. Packed with fiber and protein.

Which led to a very simple question: Why aren't we all eating this stuff?

So, our mission was clear. We’ll just… sell these amazing mushrooms. We’ll be heroes.

Turns out, we were geniuses. And also, idiots.

We quickly learned a hard truth: India, for the most part, is in a very committed, long-term relationship with the button mushroom. And it isn’t looking to cheat.

That was our mild setback. Cue the rethinking, the soul-searching, the long walks.

And then, the slightly better idea hit us. A question, really. If people won't come to the mushroom, why don't we bring the mushroom to the people?

We looked at what we all really eat, everyday. Roti! Of course!! We also noticed that our daily meals are often packed with carbs but seriously lacking in protein. And then life got very real. After a C-section and a newborn baby Shroonius, recovery meant living on a strict traditional "japa ka khana", which mostly boiled down to plain wheat roti dipped in a watery dal every single day, while drowning in vaccine and diaper bills. We quickly realized that protein, immunity, and gut health just couldn't be an expensive luxury anymore.

And that’s when it all clicked.

We decided to infuse the incredible, hidden power of functional foods into the one food we already know and love. It all culminated in our flagship product: our Shroo-Vit Atta, blending traditional wheat flour with the protein of peanut flour, gut-health of oats & psyllium husk, and the immunomodulatory power of sundried oyster mushrooms.

Our mission is still the same. We’re just being a little smarter about it.

We make honest, functional foods that make you stronger.
